IACFS/ME Conference (7): BREATHE: A mixed-methods evaluation of a virtual self-management program for people living with long COVID

The 3rd Virtual Scientific Conference for the International Association for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ Myalgia Encephalomyelitis was held on the 27th-30th July 2022. The conference promoted unpublished data and included both clinicians and biomedical researchers.

IACFS/ME Conference (6): Investigating oxygen consumption (VO2), heart rate variability, blood pressure and lactic acid levels of people with ME/CFS during normal daily activities.

 The 3rd Virtual Scientific Conference for the International Association for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ Myalgia Encephalomyelitis was held on the 27th-30th July 2022. The conference promoted unpublished data and included both clinicians and biomedical researchers.
Dr Nicola Clague-Baker is one of the founding members of Physio for ME, set up in 2019. This presentation was on a feasibility study which was funded by the ME Association, allowing measurements and data to be collected in a home environment.

IACFS/ME Conference (5): Keynote: Pathophysiology of exercise intolerance in ME/CFS & long COVID

Dr KAatrina Pears reviews Dr David Systrom’s keynote talk covered several different topics which were all related to acute exercise intolerance: preload failure, small nerve fibre neuropathy, skeletal muscle mitochondrial dysfunction, Long Covid and potential treatment.  Data presented was a mixture of published and unpublished studies.
